The lightest Colnago in history
The V5Rs is the lightest bike Colnago has ever built, with a paint-ready frame weighing 685 grams. The frameset weighs 12.5% less than its predecessor, with no compromise on stiffness.
Slimmer profiles
The experience gained with the Y1Rs allowed us to refine the V5Rs design, which uses thin, high-performance profiles. In the wind tunnel its aerodynamic performance approaches that of the best aero frames.
Narrow frontal area
The V5Rs has a frontal area of 250 cm², 13% less than its predecessor. The evolution of the head tube – now narrower – helps reduce drag and save watts.
Stiff and responsive
The V5Rs frame combines lightness and aerodynamics without sacrificing stiffness and response, delivering performance tailored to the needs of UAE team professional riders.
More precise steering
The V5Rs features a new fork that is lighter and more precise. The 32 mm tire clearance allows the use of wider tires: more grip, better handling and speed on rough terrain.
Outstanding carbon quality.
Thanks to new lamination techniques, the arrangement of carbon fibers in every area of the frame is studied and controlled. The result is a light, durable and long-lasting construction.
