Thanks to our most powerful and accurate radar tracking technology, it detects vehicle size and threat level with a wider field of view. Radar tracking technology identifies vehicles approaching from behind at the same speed or attempting to overtake. The rear (red) light is visible from up to 2 km away and has a unique brake light flashing pattern that alerts other road users when you are slowing down or stopping. For peace of mind and to maintain focus even on the longest rides, you get up to 24 hours of battery life in day flash mode and up to 30 hours of battery life in radar-only mode.
COMPACT DESIGN
The sleek and compact design of the new radar along with a newly redesigned seatpost mount. The Varia RearVue 820 fits effortlessly on almost any road or gravel bike and is also compatible with the saddle rail mount kit (sold separately).
BRIGHT REAR AND BRAKE LIGHT
Our brightest rear light means you will be visible from up to 2 km away. The Varia RearVue 820 radar also recognizes deceleration or stopping and displays a unique flashing pattern.
ADVANCED VEHICLE TRACKING
RearVue 820 detects and alerts you to small, medium and large vehicles. You will know when a vehicle changes lanes along with the threat level – when riding with the latest compatible Edge® cycling computers or the Varia app.
ALERTS WHILE RIDING
For visual and audible alerts while riding, connect the Varia RearVue 820 radar to the Varia smartphone app, to select Garmin smartwatches, or to compatible Edge cycling computers.
VARIOUS FLASHING SETTINGS
During rides with the Varia RearVue 820, various frequency and flashing intensity modes are available: day, night, steady-on mode and peloton mode, which helps protect the eyes of riders behind you. New is the ability to create your own custom flashing light mode through the Varia app on your smartphone.
